Dr. Stanick is a dedicated and compassionate mental health professional with over 15 years of clinical experience across diverse settings, including outpatient clinics, state inpatient psychiatric hospitals, and private practices. She is the proud founder of A.M. Mental Health Specialists, a practice born from her long-standing dream to create a space where individuals can receive personalized, evidence-based therapy rooted in empathy and trust.
Krista earned her Doctorate in Psychology from Carlow University in 2025, where she deepened her commitment to advancing mental health through research, clinical excellence, and community engagement. She holds a Master’s degree in Counselor Education from Duquesne University, awarded in 2009, and has since cultivated a career marked by integrity, insight, and a passion for helping others. In 2019, Krista obtained her license to practice as a Professional Counselor (PC011052) in Pennsylvania. Since that time, she has secured her independent practice and provided LPC supervision to aspiring counselors.
Her specialized training includes treatment for substance use disorders and sex offender rehabilitation, equipping her with the skills to navigate complex clinical challenges with sensitivity and professionalism. Known for her kind demeanor, unwavering reliability, and deep clinical knowledge, Dr. Stanick is a trusted resource for clients seeking meaningful change and healing, as well as new clinicians seeking LPC supervision or seasoned clinicians desiring psychological consultation services.
Outside of her professional life, Krista finds joy in spending time with her family and her two beloved dogs, Rosco and Willow. She is an avid traveler, driven by a desire to learn from and connect with diverse cultures. One of her personal goals is to visit all 50 states—a testament to her adventurous spirit and love for exploration.
